Something mysterious is afoot at the street market. Colourful fruit has been disappearing. A vendor turns their back for a moment to greet a neighbour and in a flash a mango is gone. A double take confirms figs are also missing. Another vendor is missing dried fruits and nuts. In the stall next to his, vanishing pomegranates.

A dashing young merchant named Ahmed ventures high to the rickety rooftops across the medina in search of clues. After some tricky detective work under a full moon he finds a carefully hidden vault of treasure - edible treasure! Yes, the fruit was found partially devoured. Sneaky surveillance was needed to finally determine the culprit. Ahmed was aghast with surprise when, out of nowhere, the friendly local parrot “Pistachio” appeared at the vault with a fresh banana!

Pistachio flees the scene leading Ahmed through narrow labyrinthine passages of the walled city. Carts are bumped & jumped over, a pyramid of Kiwis topples as locals cover their mouths in shock. Pistachio flies under the belly of a spooked donkey and Ahmed’s foot is trampled. Eventually Pistachio’s luck runs dry as he tangles his plumage in a fishnet. Stricken by shame he concedes surrender.

Now the whole world knows “Pistachio’s Secret”
